Wishing you a warm and happy New Year!Dec 29, 2021
As the year winds to a close, I wish you a warm and happy New Year!
Reading over my journal from this same time last year, I came across this quote from St. Augustine I’d written as my guiding reflection for the year ahead:
“Love and do what you will.”
So many times over 2021 I came up against “my” will versus “thy” will. Sudden restrictions due to Covid. Sudden and unexpected deaths of friends and family. And almost always a sudden change of direction.
And many times I’d forgotten this simple advice I’d written to myself: Love.
I’d indulged in frustration. I’d allowed anxiety to take over. And during the peak of the second wave, I was definitely afraid.
But somehow love is reserved for special and rare moments—as if it’s your grandmother’s best china you never use.
Yet when there isn’t anything you can do to change the present moment, love is available. It’s right there. And if you allow it, love will take care of the problem (which you can’t do anything about anyway).
I believe it’s true what the sages say—Love is who we are.
So here we are at the start of another year and the pandemic continues. As an astrologer, I’m often asked to comment on the year ahead and offer “predictions.” Because of the uncertainty dominating our lives, people really need something to hold on to.
Yet come what may in the next year, you have something to help you navigate the road ahead: “Love and do what you will.”
Still at the start of the year, we all crave some kind of vision to guide our intentions. I’m happy to announce that I’ll be offering a live Zoom meeting after January 1st to share a hopeful vision for 2022 based on Vedic astrological insights.
I’ll share the details with you soon. For now I wish you a peaceful and loving close to 2021. I’m so grateful to have you in my life.
P.S. Watch out for an announcement of my upcoming Zoom meeting for 2022 Vedic Astrological Insights coming soon!
